For some reason my graphs look all messed up. Anybody have any idea what causes this. Should I try and restart weatherlink to see if that does anything?

I just checked my wlk files and from 1200am on the 14th till now they are corrupted. Is there a way to fix them or am I screwed and have to delete the whole Dec wlk file. The times are overlapping.

The above post is a link to my app, so if you have any questions just let me know.  You may also be able to fix the problems in WeatherLink in the "Browse the Station Data".

I am using your program now.  The problem is the time was overlapping every 10 minutes so I have to delete records. The biggest thing is when you delete a file it goes back to the beginning of the day. But that is not that big of a deal. I wish I would have caught this earlier.

That kind of stinks about the data overlapping, I have never seen that happen.  Once you get your data fixed, you probably want to pull all of the power to your station and cycle it.  Hopefully that will fix the problem.

Good point about the cursor going to the beginning of the day, I will have to fix that.  I now how annoying that can be:)

I know what the problem was I have 7 internet settings and most of them upload every 5 minutes but I had one that I set for every 10 minutes but I had the box check to download weather station. Like I said the issue is every 10 minutes. Plus is there another way that you can select more than one at a time.

Sorry, there is not a way to select more than one at a time.  One thing you could try though is to export all of the December wlk data out to a text file using the WeatherLink export, open it up in Excel, delete all of the duplicate records, and finally use the bulk insert on my app to create a new wlk file.  To create a new wlk file, in the bulk insert wizard just point the wlk file directory location to a folder that does not have any wlk files in it, and it will create a new file for you.  Make SURE you backup your existing wlk file first, I would hate for something to go wrong with the bulk insert and mess things up even further.

What I had to do is just copy my December wlk file to another folder and start with one that started on the 15th of December. No matter what I do the file is corrupt even though I have all the data corrected. After the 1st of the year I while combine them and put them in weatherlink directory where it belongs. I have tried everything that I have and been told about. I am manually downloading for know so I can watch it so if it is messed up I can see it right away.

Is it just a case of duplicate rows?

Something like that. What was strange when I did the download right after I edited the file it would show it needed to down load 513 pages which is the max for one minute intervals but when I did it an hour later it would show the same thing but would not download anything. On the browse records page after you downloaded it, it said something to the effect could not downloaded record for an example 659020 and in numerical order. So last night I just copied the file over to another directory to save it and maually downloaded the data. I have done that twice so far and the data looks ok. I am going to do this for the next few days so I can watch it to see how it goes. Plus it would do duplicate entries but spread out not all in one place. Did I make sense explaining this. I hope so.

Well I just another manual download and so far so good. I will do this throughout the day and if all goes well I will start auto downloads again.

Well the duplicate lines are happening again. It did not do that until I updated the firmware for the console. I did double check to make sure that I downloaded the right firmware. As far as I know the update went okay. I might email Davis with the issue and see what they say. But I will not be doing that for a couple of days due to the Holiday's.

I am also suffering from duplicate records, This is the third time it has happened to me. I believe there is a recently introduced bug in the weather link Software, I have now upgraded to 5.8.2.
The last time I had the bug I was using 5.8.1, I can't say before that as I was not taking notes.
I think what is happening is that if for some reason the software is interrupted, it appears to get its counts of where its up to in the database out of step.
Having once got out of step, each day it gets a further record count out of step.
I have reported this to Davis in the past but the help desk was very unhelpful Sad , which seems to be a recent backwards step as they were always really on the ball.
You notice the feature (bug) has occurred because you start getting strangle lines appearing on graphs produced for the internet.
First thing to do is to export your data to a text file, for safe keeping. Then restart the software.
The fix is to manually browser the records and delete the extra records. You will then notice the pattern of extra records one the first day, two the next, etc.
Do not get carried away deleting things, as I have and delete too many records, if you do use http://www.ruysfamily.com/WLKReaderWriter/WLKAppDownload.html
to get out of that mess, and look at the text file you took earlier for the data, to put back in.

I updated to 5.8.2 and the problem still exists. Using the auto download when it downloads it act like it does not download all the archive. Yes I believe it is a bug possibly. I also sent a couple of emails to Davis and they told me to call tech support and talk to them. Just have not had much time. Maybe tomorrow I can call them and see what they say.
