Where does VWS get the normal and record temperatures etc.

Those are taken from Weather Underground based on the nearest station to your location.  I find them to be meaningless unless you live next door to the reporting station.

I agree with Jay.  Unless you live in an area that isn't subject to "micro-climates", they can be misleading.  I had them on my site for a while and finally took them off after watching how far off they were for my specific area.

I wonder if Ed could ever add the record for our own station to show for each day? If we don't have a particular date in archive, it could be just left blank. Just a thought.
