The Storm Prediction Center catagorizes the storm events and lists their reports in UTC, or Zulu time, on a 24 hour basis. In an active day, the reports are hard to follow the time line of events taking place so I'm sharing a script that makes it easier to read. Depending on your hosts' server, the report times are set to your timezone so there's less confusion about offsets and time differences. The event types are combined and sorted by the time, and archived reports are available along with a link back to NOAA. A note at the bottom describes the time frame when the reports are generated. It's XHTML 1.0 Strict. Thanks goes out to Beau at http://www.n9mfk.com/index.php and Brian at http://www.nas-kan.org/Weather/ for their time and input on the script. The script is free to use and you can modify anything in it. If you have any questions, just contact me. EDIT: Program updated Click here to download the SPC Reports

Your welcome Lonnie! You made it fit right in with your theme. Nice touch!
Have you spotted the archived report with more than 650 storm reports for that day?

Absolutely!!! I can see I am going to be performing many changes in the future! All for the better too!
I definitely should have went this route ( hosting) in the first place! I was so much limited when I was hosted on an IIS server.
That script is already a hit among some trucker friends of mine that frequent the tornado alley area weekly. Strangely these guys are computer literate and use the net for a variety of info related to their job.
Thanks Again!

Thanks, Curly! The script installs easily and works beautifully. There were lots of reports yesterday, but so far today there are none.

Thanks Jerry. There were lots of reports yesterday, but so far today there are none. Since you've mentioned "yesterday" and "today", I thought maybe I should bring this up because it can be confusing. Daily reports start at 12:00 GMT and end at 11:59 GMT the next day. Not midnight to midnight like a normal day. If you are in the EDT time zone, "today" starts at 8:00am EDT and ends tomorrow at 7:59am EDT. Or 7am CDT until 6:59am CDT tomorrow. Let's say you look at "today's" reports later on this afternoon. If there were reports at 5 and 6 o'clock this morning in your time zone, they would be listed in yesterdays report and not today's report. A good example of this happened on May 25 2011. There are about 100 reports listed for the 26th.

That explains why when I started playing with it before 7AM CDT today I was seeing reports for May 22, 2012 by default. After 7AM that all went away and today's reports were then targeted. Still none @1640Zulu, BTW, but I'll bet that's gonna change.

I just downloaded it in Google Chrome and Internet Explorer from the link. Are you sure it is not going to a download folder somewhere on your machine.
