Hey guys-

I am sure that this question will fall under the category of "questions that I've seen asked a hundered times". In searching this forum I was unable to find much info, so...

I am just setting up Mesonet for the first time. I'll start with the simple stuff first, like about finding the coordinates of 4 corners of the map. What resource is out there that can easily provide that info?

Once I get the map loaded, I can probably decipher the rest of the cryptic VWS manual enough to get it going.

I'd appreciate any help. Thanks everyone.

The Acme Mapper Program they recommend on the CWOP page works pretty good as best I can remember( been awhile since I used it ) other than that as already said Google Earth is pretty useful
for coordinate info.

I used Google Earth and was able to get a map from that to show up as my mesomap, but the coordinates I entered were pretty much wrong.
I guess a more basic question to start with is- where you you guys get your actual images from? I've seen some that look like they are borrowed from a doppler radar screen and those seem to look the cleanest. If you get one from there, how do you use any other program to determine true coordinates? Maybe I am thinking of this backwards.
I'll check out Acme Mapper, I remember using it as well long ago for some figures. I'll try again.
