. . . shortened . . .

Thanks Wim,

Can you tell me where exactly i can check this out?

Ex: FTP Log from WD?
I am not running the 12 supported weather-programs anymore. But as far as I remember there was indeed an ftp log for the 5 minutes file.

The clientraw uploads use a separate ftp program with its own log, but there seems no problem with that.

Again 5 minutes upload always will have a few warnings every now and then, especially when it is busy on the server. On the computer-server your website is running, there are at least 10 other webservers for other domains asking for time also.  Especially FTP, having a lower priority and generating a lot of overhead, will have to wait when it is busy with normal HTTP website visitors.

You could set the upload in Wd to 4 minutes. that way there is an extra minute before you see a warning on the status page.

Wim

OK and where can i set the upload in WD If you remember. That is my last question. You was helpfull Wim and thank you very much.

Hi All
I have been directed here by Jachym. I hope I'm in the right place.
I have run into some problems when trying to upload historic data to meteotemplate. I am getting a "406 Not Acceptable!
An appropriate representation of the requested resource could not be found on this server. This error was generated by Mod_Security." Screen. I have had a google around and found this.

It would seem l need to edit my .htaccess file. Please see link https://www.tipsandtricks-hq.com/apache-mod-secruity-update-how-to-fix-error-406-or-not-acceptable-issue-259
Which method should I use?

At the moment when viewed in notepad .htaccess file is just one line, this is it -

# Use PHP5.4 as default
AddHandler application/x-httpd-php54 .php
DirectoryIndex index.html index.shtml index.xhtml index.wml index.perl index.pl index.plx index.ppl index.cgi index.jsp index.js index.jp index.php4 index.php3 index.php index.phtml index.htm home.htm default.htm index.fcgi default.html
# -FrontPage-

<Limit GET POST>
order deny,allow
deny from all
allow from all
</Limit>
<Limit PUT DELETE>
order deny,allow
deny from all
</Limit>
AuthUserFile /home/chiltho1/public_html/_vti_pvt/service.pwd
AuthGroupFile /home/chiltho1/public_html/_vti_pvt/service.grp
ErrorDocument 404 /404.shtml

AuthName chilthorneweather.co.uk
IndexIgnore .htaccess */.??* *~ *# */HEADER* */README* */_vti*

If I was to edit this file with either of the two methods mentioned on the tipsandtricks website, where would I put those lines of code in relation to what's there already?
Sorry if this sounds a really dumb question but I'm always a bit nervous about editing stuff, especially when I have no idea what it's for or what it does. I don't want to break my site.

I have noticed that I also have a file called .htaccess.predirectoryindex this is it's contents.

# -FrontPage-

<Limit GET POST>
order deny,allow
deny from all
allow from all
</Limit>
<Limit PUT DELETE>
order deny,allow
deny from all
</Limit>
AuthUserFile /home/chiltho1/public_html/_vti_pvt/service.pwd
AuthGroupFile /home/chiltho1/public_html/_vti_pvt/service.grp
ErrorDocument 404 /404.shtml

AuthName chilthorneweather.co.uk
IndexIgnore .htaccess */.??* *~ *# */HEADER* */README* */_vti*

Maybe this would be the one to edit.??

I hope someone can point me in the right direction on this one

Cheers Pete

@ PernicketyPete

I think you are in the right forum as one can discuss about all topics here on the wxforum.net.
But for sure you are  in the wrong discussion. This discussion is about another template. Not about Apache and its problems.

Do a search (box upper right) for htaccess and you find multiple discussions about htaccess, mostly in the Weather Web Site Help
Please make a new topic there with a descriptive subject title like "How to solve 406 Not Acceptable  in htaccess"and people will read your question and help to find answers.

Bit of help needed, trying to setup the HTTP service on Meteobridge but keep getting error messages when testing, the FTP Event upload works fine, doubly checked everything, maybe a fresh pair of eyes could spot something I've missed

At this moment (2017-04-18 11:00 CEST), all links to your site result in 404 not found error.
Test script PHP => http://www.weatherwatcher.co/weather28/printSite.php
The .txt files in scriptsMB/ => http://www.weatherwatcher.co/weather28/scriptsMB/realtimeGet.txt
The main start page => http://www.weatherwatcher.co/weather28/index.php

But all work when NOT using weather28/
Test script PHP => http://www.weatherwatcher.co/printSite.php
The .txt files in scriptsMB/ => http://www.weatherwatcher.co/scriptsMB/realtimeGet.txt
The main start page => http://www.weatherwatcher.co/index.php

Probably you modified your cPanel settings to skip the weather28/ folder in your http links.
You have to do that in your Meteobridge links also.

IMPORTANT:
All your template settings are still the original ones, so it is initial settings => Weather Display
Please follow the install sequence step-by-step by FIRST uploading your modified settings in step 4 and testing with the demo files
AFTER that start uploading your own files in step 5.

Still waiting for the NOAA final changes of the new point-click forecast.  Cut-over date now April 24, 2017.

All forecast scripts are ready to test and can be downloaded at the Leuven-Template support site: http://support.leuven-template.eu/

Stand-alone / Saratoga-template versions  available at: http://www.weerstation-leuven.be/northam/noaafct/demo.php?plain&lang=en

FIRST  backup / copy or zip  your current noaafct/ folder before you start testing the new version.

I have been running WXSIM 3 in 1 script for a couple of years embedded in Meteotemplate which is getting its strings from WD. Worked great.
Running PHP 7.0 no problem. when I switched to PHP 7.1 I get the following errors:

Warning: A non-numeric value encountered in /home/spme/public_html/template/wsWxsimSA/otherScripts/wsFunctions.php on line 164

Notice: A non well formed numeric value encountered in /home/spme/public_html/template/wsWxsimSA/otherScripts/wsFunctions.php on line 233

Warning: A non-numeric value encountered in /home/spme/public_html/template/wsWxsimSA/otherScripts/wsFunctions.php on line 233

Notice: A non well formed numeric value encountered in /home/spme/public_html/template/wsWxsimSA/wsWxsimGetFile.php on line 236

The display does show below the errors correctly.
Since I am no PHP expert or even neophyte, can anyone tell me what changes I need to make in the code.

I am outside my home without decent internet from today for two weeks.
Solution: Switch off error reporting. It are warnings and notices, irritating but no invalid data is generated.
Check the start.php script, somewhere in the first few lines there should be something like:
Code: [Select]
#---------------------------------------------------------------------------
# set error reporting
#---------------------------------------------------------------------------
# for testing and debugging only  -  set to comment for production versions
ini_set('display_errors', 'On');   error_reporting(E_ALL);
#
Change the important line to
Code: [Select]
ini_set('display_errors', 0);   error_reporting(0);
I will look into it when I am back December 1, but have to get the scripts somewhere from a backup first as your linenumbers do not match the version I have.

As I am working on a new version of the Leuven-Template and scripts, I suspended the downloads of the current versions.
The new version will be similar on the outside, but smaller, faster  and  easier to install and support as all code has been redone.

That 2.9 version of the template will be available March/April 2018
Alfa test versions: https://www.weerstation-herent.be/ and  https://weer.sluispark.be/
Beta test program will start in Februari.

Probably in April the fully supported forecast scripts will be available also.
Beta TEST versions, some documentation and download "at your own risk" are available at:
https://www.weerstation-herent.be/saratoga/wsfct4/index.html
No installation support, no discussions on the forum please.
Just post errors using the support forum: https://support.leuven-template.eu/

Thanks Wim, look forward to release.

On my current  www.komokaweather.com/weather28 I have removed the previous ws_snow.txt from webserver because the page was only showing for one date, the last snow entry of 2016-2017 being April 7, 2017, and when I entered data for November 2017 for the 2017-2018 snow season it did not show.  I then added data for November 2017 and a new ws_snow.txt was created.  The following is in the new ws_snow.txt:
Quote
|2017|11|10|deft|9.5|9.5|
|2017|11|11|deft|3|0|
|2017|11|12|deft|1|0|
|2017|11|13|deft|0|0|
|2017|11|20|deft|0|0.1|
|2017|11|22|deft|0.10|0.1|
|2017|11|23|deft|3|3|
but it does not display when clicking the Snow tab.  I remember you helped me about a year ago in setting the snow season months and that worked fine for 2016-2017 season, but 2017-2018 months are no different than 2016-2017.  Any suggestion on the right way to get 2017-2018 snow to display?

Thanks,
Paul

I copied your http://www.komokaweather.com/weather28/ws_snow/ws_snow.txt
to http://weather-template.nl/weather28/ws_snow/ws_snow.txt

At http://weather-template.nl/weather28/ it shows correct snow measurements.
So I attach a zip of the  ws_snow.php script running on the demo server, please unzip and replace your version.
Faster then comparing the scripts and finding the error if one is there.

Thanks Wim,
I have it all sorted now and all up to date. www.komokaweather.com/weather28

I checked the ws_snow.zip you attached against what I had on my webserver and the attachment is older which did not include the changes for the season months and a spelling mistake and longitude from latitude error that was corrected in the 2016-11-21 version.  But your attachment still worked.  So did some further investigation and I then uploaded the 20161121 version I had on my computer and that worked, and has those previous updates/corrections.

Not sure how but looks like the ws_snow.php version I had on my webserver might have gotten mixed up with an older version during my recent process of downloading/backup and then re-upload for my cPanel webhosting update.  As a further test I uploaded the ws_snow.php that I had in the downloading/backup folder on my computer and that didn't work.  So again uploading/replacing ws_snow.php with the 2016-11-21 version on my computer and all seems ok.

Thank you for looking, testing and attaching the zip as that made me look into it further as it had been working fine throughout the 2016-2017 season (to end of April 2017).

Regards,
Paul
