National Weather Service Rain Gauge
« on: July 12, 2008, 08:54:55 PM »
Hello,

In searching the forums and by looking at different NWS field office web pages, I have seen them use and refer to the NWS official 8 rain gauge. Does anybody know where to purchase the same metal gauge that is used by the weather service? Thanks for your help.

I hope your pockets are, uh, deep.

Here's one.

$295.

Or a better one.

$4,323.00

I bought an old copper one from NiceBill that he found on eBay for $100.

Better latte than never.

I search the internet for them, like a scanner searches the air ways.
This is the one I have.  The old ones are very hard to find.  This is one of the $4,323.00 models.
