Lightning storms can be quite scary sometimes, especially really intense ones like in this video. However, if you ignore the sound and just watch the lightning itself, it becomes almost like a spectacular light show, especially when viewed at nighttime. Cool A really heavy lightning storm in West Texas with interesting bolts..

Cool vid with the strikes. The band in that video was one of my favorite groups back in the mid 90's. It's just to bad they don't release any new music.

Amazing video. I just hope the videographer was safe inside of a car while that was being filmed though.

That attitude will get you hurt.
I thought I was bullet proof when I was young too but getting caught twice in the Everglades with a broke down boat changed my mind. With lightning popping all around and me sitting in the only piece of metal for miles I thought for sure I was done.
Seriously man, you need to respect that stuff.

I'm sitting in Ponder, TX for the Virtual Storm Chase. It was a difficult forecast spot 24hrs ago.

Nothing wrong with not being afraid of it. But you still need to respect it.
