I need help as I had to rebuild PC at the weekend and so all programs lost.

I have reloaded Weatherlink 6 and also the latest VWS  - Internet edition

Before the rebuild I saved the folder from my C drive VWS.  In the VWS folder are the sub folders "data" and "noaa"

I have copied the contents of these 'back up' folders into the same folders created when I installed VWS

But when in VWS whenever I go to Climate Reports / Noaa / Noaa monthly or Yearly all I get is the data for today.

On my C drive in the data/noaa folder there are the files for each month ie  2012_7 and 2012_8  and also the files noaamo and noaayr

When I click on the files noaamo and noaayr they just show the data for since the rebuild (yesterday and today).  I have tried deleting these 2 files and replacing them with the backed up files.  Then clicking on the files shows all the correct data for the whole month and year.

But then I launch VWS and try to view the noaa reports and it still just shows the past two days.  I then use Windows explorer to check these files and even though i have deleted them and replaced them with the backed up files, the files showing just the past two days seem to have appeared again in place of the backed up files.  I have deleted them time and time again replacing them with the backed up files and they just keep reappearing

What can I do to get my old data showing on the reports.  I must be missing a trick!!

If anyone can offer help ( in an easy understandable way) I would be so grateful - I hope I have explained my issue clearly but if more info is needed just ask.

Did you copy your old *.bin files over? These should be located in c:\VWS\setup\summary1 and c:\VWS\setup\summary2.

No I did not

But for some reason in 'back up' folders of Summary and summary 2 its says 'folder empty'.

So for some reason these files were not backed up whilst the data folders were!  Bummer

Any other ideas?

Cheers
