Hey guys,

I have a WS-1090 on order, but I am wondering if it is going to work for me. I plan on using this station to show data on a personal webpage. From what I understand, I can use Cumulus to accomplish this?

The problem I am running into, is I think I'd like to get the station a bit further from the computer. Will something like the  "WS-1090-WHUB4-KIT Wifi Wireless Weather Station" be a better option for me? I also plan to implement a webcam, and I believe the kit supports that?

Does the kit come with its own router? What is the square looking thing in the picture? (not the console) http://ep.yimg.com/ca/I/yhst-37697109791737_2221_272563614

I'm bound to have a ton more questions. Thanks in advance for your help.

The basic station should work fine, I have mine set about 40 feet from the console through a couple of walls with no issues. I second Weather Display if you have the money.

Hey guys,

Thanks for the info so far.

Does weather-display.com software work with the basic station, the WS-1090? I like the graphical outputs a little bit better.

It looks like I might be quite a distance from any computer. I'm kind of torn on what to do.

Where do I find a list of compatible webcams for the WS-1090-WHUB4-KIT?

I don't think you have to worry about webcams that are compatible. Any webcam should work, it's a question of what you want to spend money on. The webcam would use your internet connection, it would not go through the weather unit itself. Check the webcams forum on this site as there are at least as many different webcams as there are stations if not more.

I use an Olympus C-765UZ camera in PC Control mode with VM95 software to take pictures and upload them to my site as opposed to a traditional webcam that others use. It really is your choice.

yes you can adjust the output to a web page with WD
using custom tags
using the 'Caterlake' setup you select from 100s of custom tags
or you can use the Sarotoga templates, which were originaly designed for WD
