If for some reason your bent pipe doesn't work there may be another option. Remove the dish but keep the adjustable base to drill and mount your new mast to. Then adjust it to be level. Maybe???

That's an interesting option.  Thanks for the idea!

My weather station is now up and running!!!  You can view it at:  http://www.weatherlink.com/user/fz/

I had an electrician come over to do some electrical work and showed him what I was thinking about.  He said he had a simple fix.  It took about 1/2 an hour.  Here are the pictures of what he did:  https://picasaweb.google.com/112810459104453799301/WeatherStation?authkey=Gv1sRgCKu_j6-R-e_-xgE

Thank you all for your advice and support!

Yeah I'm having a lot of fun, and I've only scratched the surface.  I'm planning on setting hooking up to some services like NOAA and Weather Underground, just to name a few.  I teach 5th grade and we study weather, so I want to get the data into my student's hands when school starts so they can start doing things with real data.

You misunderstood me. I meant that I was happy to see he was able to get the station up and running. GREAT JOB!!!
