I have a problem with total rainfall shown on the broadcast display. I have read through the sticky on the subject numerous times, but it doesn't seem to address my exact problem. The sticky says, "You need to remove the error value from the "Rainfall Menu" and return your month and your year values back what they should be." I don't have that problem. All readings on the rainfall menu (Settings/Rainfall) are correct, including the total for the year. It is only the total shown on the broadcast display that is incorrect. This problem came on suddenly one day. A lot of people read my data on the internet, so I need to fix this so they are not given bad information. Thanks.

Here is the link to my Internet site. Note the 14.33 inches total rainfall. The correct amount, and that shown on the rainfall page, is 5.394 inches. http://www.rahughes.net/weather/wx.htm

Somebody with more knowledge will be able to help you, but your rainfall is not your only problem; the left side table is showing a barometric pressure of 25.xx". It looks like the HTML tags have been changed in your templates.

You don't mention the type of harware you have. What does your weather station display show the total rainfall to be?

That is the actual barometric pressure as shown on the baro sensor. It is corrected to sea level in the console.

Sorry about that. I should have mentioned it in the first place. WX station is OS WMR968. VWS Ver. 14.01 p43. Op Sys Windows 7. The console shows the same 14.33 total which is incorrect. The only place the rainfall total is correct is on the Rainfall page.

The console total is what VWS displays as your total. You need to reset your console, which will zero out the total rainfall. Then put your actual total rainfall as an offset on the calibration menu.
I typically do the reset on New Years.
Hope this helps.

OK. I reset the console, and put the actual total in Calibration as an offset. That fixed the total rainfall in the broadcast icon, but it now shows the offset as the rain for the current day in Rainfall. And the total rain on Rainfall is now a negative number. As a Skywarn member I need to be able to report daily rainfall accurately. I suppose I can just ignore the new rainfall for August 4 as well as the negative number for the total. At least the total going out on the Internet is correct again. Thanks.

You can go to the rainfall menu and correct the total so it doesn't show negative. IIRC, the total rainfall shows up as the daily rainfall for the day, but doesn't show up in the historical data. Not 100% sure about that and have no way to check it at the moment.

Dewey..This has nothing to do with your rainfall problem. I was just wondering where or how did you get such a good looking website? It does not look like the standard Wunderground site. Is it a site you "rent" by the month or year? Thanks.
