First of all I am not all that pc friendly so if you have an answer for me, please use baby talk. LOL!!! Anyway, I am having the same problems as everyone else with the Weatherlink v6.0 software update, dropping USB, crashing when uploading to CWOP, etc, etc, etc... I have read the multitude of posts on the forum and have made the simple fixes, remove interference, add ferrite. I am now puzzling over the driver update. I have found the Silab driver update page (thanks to an excellent post) and downloaded the VCP driver kit for Windows XP. During the install it asks "Are you sure you want to update v5.3 to v6.5.3?)So I went to the Releasenotes in the driver kit. It says that the update only works for CP2101, CP2102, and CP2103 devices.

How do I find out which one I have?
