I know Ken will get it right... he always does.

What are the changes though? My scripts are kinda custom and I don't want to replace the entire file, just the sections that need updating.

I don't see any difference between what I have and the new script.

Well... I'll have to wait to talk with Ken. I can't just wholesale replace my code or I'll spend hours of reformatting.

I just copied my settings from the old advforecast2.php script into the new one, and voila, it' good again.
Thanks, Ken! We would be lost without you.

You only have to set long & lat if you are running it stand alone. If you are using the ajax scripts from Ken, the settings.php takes care of that.

Do you have 'DiffMerge'? This excellent file comparator will show you exactly where the changes are. If you know your changes, how they work, and how they might be affected by the new code, you should be able to get your scripts up and running again. I've found this program to be indispensable when dealing with changes in scripts.

Can't really do that. The script is embedded in my pages, not called separately.

Sounds like a chore ahead. You could still compare them with this program, which would identify the common areas while highlighting the differences, and pinpoint the changes. I wouldn't say it's out of the question.

But all the code on the page that's not a part of the script would be shown.
I waited this long... I guess I can wait a little longer.

You would have large splotches of red indicating unmatched code, but I've never automatically merged with the program, always manually while comparing and analyzing the changes. The white areas would be those in common, and that's where your interest would lie. It couldn't hurt to give it a whirl, and it could save you lots of time.

Yep, the global variables in Settings.php override the local ones in the script. Just copy the new version over the old file and presto...everything works! THANKS KEN!

Mine is displaying Kens forecast. Do I have to change the settings.php file as well? I changed to my warning zone and the long and lat?

There are about 6 lines of settings that need to be copied over from your old advforecast2.php. Just look at a backup copy, grab those lines, and paste them into the new script.
