Hi,

last night some thunderstorms are growing up northwards from  me with a nice lightning show.

The temperature was 18 degrees C ( 65 F), very , very much to warm for wintertime..

Some areas around got 30 liter of rain in 45 minutes.

Hier is a cutting from the hole video:

How far away is that lightning from the famous "Lighthouse of Maraciabo" lightning at Catalumbo, Venezuela? I recall that some people believe that its continuous lightning activity is caused, or at least helped, by the large amounts of methane gas escaping from Lake Maraciabo. Is something similar happening where you're at?

I have never heard of anything like that! That would be a good place to visit! I think Venezuela is on the other side of the continent on the northwest side, while Uruguay is wedged between Brazil and Argentina (Correct me if I'm wrong, I'm not looking at a map) Wink

Is there good radar coverage in Uruguay?
