Hi

I'm hoping this is the right place to post this, but I would like to get my site out in the public eye a bit more by creating a facebook page and/or twitter feed.  Has anyone out there have experience with this that may be able to lead me in the right direction?

Thank you,
Chris

I do both.

I use WD to send current conditions every hour and the forecast every 6 hours.  I also use WXMesg server (EMWIN receiver from WXMesg.com) to send watches, warnings, etc.

What did you have to download? The client, server or both? And how did you configure that? I looked into it but it was not that intuitive...

Thanks!

WXMesg consist of two main parts, a client and a server. In order to send watches and warnings to FB and Twitter, the client doesn't have to be used at all. I'm the only one that uses the client with my setup. The server piece controls everything and that's where everything is setup. It's very flexible in telling it what goes where. It also can send to an individual email or an email group (I use Google Groups) and pagers. It's basically unlimited on how you can set it up.

There are other pieces, one is the actual EMWIN internet receiver that monitors the EMWIN data stream, I kinda consider that part of the server.

Read the directions before trying to set anything up, it will save you some frustration. To me, it's not the most intuitive interface, but once you get the hang of it it's easy. They also have a Yahoo forum where you can get answers to any question you might have.

Thanks! Got everything installed and tried to set up a paging server for Twitter. When I hit the authorize button the program gives me a nice system error. Can't get by that...

Twitter seem to demote automated report tweets so they don't show in searches e.g. related to the location.

Hey Guys,
I have everything running and the WXMesg Server is sending updates to Twitter, email, and supposedly to FB. However, WXmesg appears to be in the FB apps page and is authorized to send posts to FB but it's not. The pager log tells me the page is not found. IF I copy it right out of the log and paste it into a URL for a browser, it shows right up... What am I doing wrong?
