Can you take us a screen shot of what you are seeing and from another site that isn't distorted on your end? I asked you if the text on the right was distorted several times and you never once said it was until now. Your complaint was that his base map was distorted but now the text is distorted now too? You seem to be the only one having these visual problems, what does that say? Why lock this thread? It is informative and helping Bill set up and configure his Nexstorm. If these problems are beyond your hardware then it would be helpful to Bill so he can fix it so others don't have these problems. I highly believe though it is problems with your hardware and not how the map is being outputted.

Let's just consider this topic closed. I know what I'm seeing. The text on the right on his map is not clear. Mine and everyone elses is. If there was something wrong on my end. Then everyons map including mine would be messed up. But like I say. I consider this topic closed and would request that one of the moderators lock it. So, because several of us have a different opinion than you we should lock this topic? I think not. No one has been rude or otherwise done anything to justify such action. Stop taking it personally. If you don't want to participate in the discussion any longer that's fine, but locking the topic is certainly not in order. I'd love to hear from others to see if we can find anyone else that sees the image blurry. Maybe then we could find a the reason you are having a problem viewiing it.

Gee Anthony, I started this thread and all of the help I have received has been great. I sit and watch its somewhat progression, but for you to disagree with the majority is no reason for you to request the thread to be closed. Now not to knock you, but with your attitude you would never make it on a Root Cause Analysis Team. I, for one, do not know enough about how an image may come across to you on your monitor. I can say, what I have presented above is correct and I have not changed anything. Now lets see if we can figure out why the image is not clear for you. Seems one day it's the map and another day it's the text. Is it the whole image? Bill.>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Sorry for the long reply. Started this yesterday eveving as a horendous thunder storm was raging out side. When bam. The power went out. To make matters. The batteries in my UPS have gone south and I have not had the funds to replace them. As for uploading a screen caputer. I'm not going to bother. Something is deffinately different with you set up. But since I'm the only one who seems to be having a problem. I wouldn't worry about it.

Yes it is clear that your browser is rendering it distorted. In fact, according to your first snapshot, it is showing the image at 720x502 rather than 794x552. Fortunately your browser is providing you with a zoom control of some sort that does allow you to zoom to full size. What browser are you using? I bet there is a setting that controls this behavior.

k6dyc is right on, it is your browser not the output of his map, which is why you are seeing it like this. If you notice that when you click that button and it enlarges it, it is fine. It looks distorted because it is not rendering the full size, your browser is cropping it. I will tell you how to fix this even though I shouldn't since you accused us all that were nuts and it is wrong because you can't view it right. When it was a issue with your computer like we tried to tell you all along. But because you posted it now we can help you like we were trying to do all along.
First things first, you need to get rid of the POS IE6 and ether upgrade to IE7 or even better get a real browser like FF3 since it is out. But since you are using outdated IE6 here is out you fix it.
Automatic Image Resizing is turned on by default in IE6. But you can turn it on and off by using the Advanced tab on the Internet Options dialog box.
1. On the Tools menu, click Internet Options.
2. Click the Advanced tab, and then scroll down to the Multimedia section.
3. Select or clear the Enable Automatic Image Resizing check box.
Problem solved, your welcome...
I still would highly suggest you upgrade your browser because IE6 is outdated and does not follow a lot of the W3 standards for rendering web sites and pages properly. If you want to view sites properly and better and increase your speed of your browser use Firefox 3.

The recommendation to up-date from IE6 to IE7 is the way to go, if you are using IE now. I will not say FF or IE is better than one or the other, if you use IE good, if you use FF good, but I do know that if you switch from IE to FF and you have been on IE for a number of years, or vice-versa, you are in for a lot of work--ie. up-dating all of your user names and passwords to start. If you view Rapid-Fire, my experience has been, it's only available on IE. A number of other issues as well when the switch is made. Bill.>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

X-Mas, It was checked. So I unchecked it. Much better. Thanks for the info. I apologize for being an arse. But can you explaine why this is not the case with my own map? It's because of the size differences between to two maps? If so why are they different?

Anthony, OK on the arse part. Aren't We All at times You are seeing your own map. It is not being piped to~or back to you. Up-date from your IE6 to the IE7, you will like it. Bill.>>>>>>>>>>>>>

I will say it, FF is much better then IE... Personally I would upgrade to FF, it is a much faster and nicer browser. It is a standalone browser which means it doesn't run off your OS back end like IE does. Therefore load times and the overall web experience is a lot better. You can run both FF and IE7 so I would upgrade to IE7 and then download FF3. Use FF and you will never go back to IE, I can promise you that. When you install it you can import all your IE settings during set up so you won't lose passwords or bookmarks. WU Rapid Fire works for me on FF, I have never had a problem with it. If you do, it might be because of a simple setting in your browser. One thing you will notice when you use FF is your site might look differently as well as others. In all actuality it is because it is being rendered properly so it would look better. FF uses proper W3 standards where IE doesn't. Regardless of what you do you need to upgrade because once CSS3 is released and developers like myself start using it IE6 will be worthless. Of course you don't have to worry about that now because the standards have not been written for CSS3 yet so you are safe there for now. FF also has some nice plugins that make surfing as well as web developing and trouble shooting so much better. The debugging tools are outrageous compared to IE7. That is why IE7 has what they call "add-ons" because of FF was the first to start using them. Try FF for a week you will like it. Ether way, you need to upgrade to one of them IE7 or FF3. Bill, I think he is referring to why his map did not do that when he viewed it from his site. Anthony, it is because you are on a high screen resolution then what Bills maps were being created. I know it doesn't make since, why doesn't a smaller map show full size on a larger screen resolution. That is just one of the hiccups of IE6 and IE period for that matter. Keep in mind, you are also viewing the direct image from Bills site where others have theirs embedded in html so IE resizes it because of that image manipulation setting being on. Bill doesn't have his map embedded in HTML. They are different also because he is outputting a smaller resolution map where you are outputting a larger map and it is embedded in HTML so the browser renders it in HTML instead of a direct image. Hopefully this clears up some confusion and you should be set now. Just go upgrade your browser though.

Not sure if this is the answer to your question, Anthony, but NexStorm has a menu where you can select the image size. I run it smaller so that the uploaded image doesn't overwhelm the user's browser window. If I were not uploading, then I'd run Autosize:

Not for nuthin' but I've been using IE since day 1 - still have my "Midnite Madness" t-shirt they gave away. Somewhere down the line, I tried one of the FF1.x versions and while I thought it was cute, I stayed with IE. Old dogs- new tricks, I guess. I tried IE7 for general browsing for 20 minutes or so on one machine here and didn't really care for it but I guess they cleaned it up since then. It just seemed rather bloated and cludgey.
I recently revisited FF with the 3.x release (& FireBug) and absolutely love it. Other than sometimes forgetting that new pages are in those tabs, I'm hooked.
