In striving to make all of the information available near the top of the page, and to be a bit different from others, I have done a rewrite of my main website page. I use a "mish-mash" of some of the various scripts from the forums. Any comments welcome.

A very good and unique design that stands out.  However, my favorite kind of weather site layout is spread all across the screen as in this example:  http://vermilionweather.com/index.html  That way none of your monitor space is wasted and possibly less vertical scrolling necessary to do.  I assume most people avoid such layouts out of fear it will cause the viewer to have to resort to horizontal scrolling.    But to me, personally, if people find they have to horizontal scroll to see my page, then they should do what I did and adjust their monitors to fit.

It's tough to make Ken's templates not look like Ken's templates. That's one reason I decided to do my own design years ago.

Yours is quite a original and phenomenal weather site what with all the various info packed in it.  It was good of you to drop your last background in favor of a much faster loading one.

Thanks!

I not only dropped the background but I dropped the 26 banners that it loaded! Way too much overhead.

Too Cool!! I was born in MoreHead City ... My last name is Salter - very familiar with the area!! Was back up there a few months back and had dinner right across the street from where your camera is pointing!  Saving your page to my favorites!!! Have LOADS of family in that area...

I finally went to a horizontal drop-down menu. I think it makes the site look cleaner. Any thoughts or comments welcome!
