I've had error messages for four consecutive days.  The error report says communication has been lost.
The only solution that I have found is to reboot the computer.
Here is my setup:
OS:  Windows XP
AT&T DSL with a 2wire modem
Weather Station:  Davis Vantage Vue
Weather Software:  Cumulus  Ver 1.9.2 build 1030
Running Virtual Com Port

HELP!!!!!

Hi,

Are you running this through a USB connection to the console (or a USB serial adapter)? I had a similar problem and found that the USB port had power saving enabled so after a few days it went to sleep causing the disconnection.

Hope this helps point you in the right direction.
