Perhaps the issue is on your end?  There is often a file size transfer limitation, esp. if you used email.

How much space is it taking up in your inbox though? How large is the file you got?

I can't receive more than 25 MB with my Gmail. What or who are you using for email?

it looks like you can get it through a FTP connection.

That is how you get the file, through FTP.  NCDC sends a notification via email that the order is ready.
Quote
- Why do I need to enter my Email Address?
The user email address is needed when ordering data from NCDC. Due to the size of the Archive, instantaneous access is not possible.
The user is emailed when the ordered data has posted to the NCDC FTP site.

The trouble is that, for some reason, the processing is not completing and therefore no email is generated to advise the file is ready.
I've tried a couple of times myself (and waited several hours) and still have not received any email.  Maybe they are having issues on their end?

Perhaps someone else could try ordering a set of data to see what happens?

Haha, but I am quite the weather nerd, I buy radars instead of phones, books instead of ipods. Ive been after imagery of that cell since I was in the middle of it in 2006, it was a very intense cell that dropped almost 3 inches of rain in 45 minutes, and dropped 1 inch hail and 80 mph winds, so getting that was like Christmas Very Happy

That would get quite expensive, wouldn't it Joe?  Not to mention the complaints from the neighbors and all that zoning red tape just
to get the installations approved.  Very Happy Very Happy

BTW, can you even make a phone call on one of those radars?  Razz Very Happy Razz
