I want to get UV on my VP2. I don't like the price of 315$. I can't really afford much. I'm saving up for a new computer to replace a failing one. Doesn't need to be in good condition, just needs to work.
Thanx.

Whatever happened to the low cost version that some folks here beta-tested?

It was a newly designed version, but we only guessed that it may be lower cost because the current version seems pricey and many skip buying it because of that. Our resident "beta" testers of it haven't reported in for a long time. Maybe there are problems with it?

Well the reason I was primarily looking for an old used sensor is to get a good deal. Maybe someone replaced an old Vantage Pro Plus or pro2 Plus and had the sensors just lying around. I don't want to spend over 100$. May sound crazy, but I'd like UV but not the cost. If it works I could care less about any other conditions. Thanx

Another way of going about this is to look for a used VP2 Plus, keep the sensor(s) you want, then sell it as a used VP2.

Hi,
If you like to tinker with a system, 1-wire by Hobby Boards has a solution. If you have a 1-wire system going, then you can add a UV sensor for less than $50 USD, but if you have to start from scratch, it will cost about $100 USD to get the 1-wire system going and let WD do the rest. Also if you have a system going then you can add more sensors as needed. I have the UV, Solar and Lightning sensors going at the present time with WD for the past couple of years without too much maintenance...
This is just a suggestion and hope that you will be able to achieve your goal.

My computer crashed again. This time permanently. I might need to replace hard drive but the UV sensor will have to wait.
Thanx
