Relocating to another XP Pro SP3 machine, updating all softwares and wondering if any problems with the 6.0.2 WLink. I stuck with 5.9.2b which seemed to chug along with everything just fine with my VP2.
Anyone having problems with the 6.0.2?

The changes between 5.9 and 6.0.2 probaly do not concern anything that you do. They do not me. But I run 6.0.2 anyway and it works just fine.
The up date leaves 5.9 in and on your computer so you can run wich ever you choose.

I do now notice some misalignment in the Summary headers so I guess I'll stick to the 5.9.2b that I've used. Like you said - the differences don't make much difference for me anyway but good to know it's not problematic as some versions have been in the past.

Had to move the VP2 to a new computer running Windows 8. I downloaded the 6.0.2 on Nov 11 and it's been working fine. I upload to CWOP, WU, and my web site every 30 min with no problems. The 6.0.2 apparently fixed the CWOP freezing problems (so I no longer need the beta fix) and is set to rotate their servers. Occasionally the log shows an error connecting to APRS host ...99 and moves to ...39 etc.

Do you have a formatting problem in the Summary window of WLink?

No problems. I copied and carried over all the old wlk files back through 2004 and WL picked up all the NOAA files and continued right on as before with no noticeable difference.

No, not in the past data but in the Summary view of current daily conditions. I had one column overwriting the next column. I can't remember if it was just in the header or the whole column but it was "distracting" for me.

No, the WL just adds the new data to the existing summaries.
I do have the WL pgm setup to clear the archive after each download.

Jim, not the data itself per se but the way it's all displayed in the Summary window. For me, the "Current" column was completely overlapping the "Today's Highs" column. The display formatting was screwy not the data.

I checked both "NOAA summaries" & "Browse the station data" and everything aligns in the correct columns. (I thought perhaps if WL were re downloading already downloaded data, it might be misaligning. Although this shouldn't be the case.)
Here's a link the the Nov summary: http://winchesterweather.home.comcast.net/~winchesterweather/NOAAMO.TXT During Nov 11th, I changed computers from WinXP & WL 5.9.2a to Win8 & WL 6.0.2

No, not that one either. Check the (5.9.2) attachment for what I mean. What happened for me with 6.0.2 was the 'Current' overwrites the 'Today's Highs' as if there were a formatting issue.

I installed 6.0.2 October 15th on an old 800MHz HP Pavilion running XP. It is communicating with a WLIP. I only use it to upload to my own web site. WLIP handles WU and CWOP. No issues other than competing instances of WL and other software trying to access the WLIP flea-power micro...
