WS2300 connection failures

My old WS2300 is maybe breaking now. It looses the connection between the console and the temperature meter though I am running in a wired mode.
The connection disappers once in a day.
This is how it happens:
First it runs ok for a while. But then, the malfunction appears. The console doesn't find the temperature meter an the connetion icon stays at the console for a few minutes. Then comes the --- marks for the all outside readings. And the console tries again and again the connection in 4-5 minutes intervals.
I fix the connection lost by pressing the resync, UP-button, but it only fixes it temporarily. The problem comes again in the next day.

What could cause the problem? I have tried use new batteries in the console and the temperature meter, made factory reset, turned off the console for hours, and cleaned the temp. meter from corrosion. Nothing helps, the issue comes still every day.

I would try a new rj-11 cable between the console and the outdoor sensor. The reason I say this is because I've seen the crimped contact connectors get intermittent over time and cause a breakdown in the connection. Also use a pencil eraser on the rj-11 contacts in the console and sensor jacks to clean the 4 wires.
Your outdoor temp/humidity sensor should not need batteries if you are connected with a cable. Power comes from the console. Can you use the console AC power pack instead of it's batteries? May help if you can.

I forgot to mention that the console doesn't find the temp. transmitter in malfunction situation, if I take the cable off (to test whether does it find the wireless signal). It still tries to find the signal, but again, the re-sync helps. When it runs ok, and I take the cable away, it does find the wireless connection.

But, I must to test the new cable.

Yeah, a different cable, and an AC power pack adapter instead of batteries for the console would be good to try. Be sure to use a 4 wire replacement cable instead of the 2 wire ones.

Something else, is the console connected to a computer and/or an AC power pack (you mentioned console batteries)? If yes then check your grounds to be sure your computer is grounded. Ungrounded equipment connections will cause many problems like this.

Yes, it is grounded. I had 25,5 m/s readings with the anemometer and when I put the computer grounded, the wrong readings were gone.

I was thinking that could the problem be in the electronics, like console capacitors?
