For gadget junkies I found this. I have been using a couple of weeks, works well.

It has a app to monitor your weight as well as a web site. I think its pretty cool. They also have a Blood pressure monitor, but only for iPhone. Sad

Is the data upload to their site mandatory or an option? Are the graphings, etc. local to the software or thru their DB?

No local DB, so if you want to archive upload.
Smart phone apps available.
I don't share my info. Ideally your physician could access.

Thanks for the info. Looks like a pretty good toy to have around and add to the 'arsenal'. I know if I had to write down my BP and Glucose readings, I would never know how they were over time. These auto-logging things are great.

They are nice and there have been several in the past. However, it is another internet appliance that relies on a host company. What happens should it shutdown...another orphaned device. I have 2 Kodak wireless picture frames and if it wasn't for the fact they talk to one of my PC's they would be worthless with no FrameChannel. They make very nice color displays for my weather station. The Chumby is another orphaned device but there are hacks to make it work locally. I think there is only one wifi scale that logs to the local computer which sends up to a website but it is very expensive.

I tried to find some of the 10" Kodak scales recently; all gone.  Sad  I think I  will get a refurb RIM Playbook for about the same for a weather display panel.  Speaking of scales, the Tanita ones are cool, but as noted, about two to three times the cost of the Withing ones.  But they do Bluetooth and ANT+ in addition to regular wifi!
