I was wondering if multiple wind sensors can be added to the Davis VP2?.
Just curious - I was wondering why you would need
to have multiple wind sensors.
that's a good question Dalecoy, One reason would be if you wanted to do a more in depth wind research and a more in depth
wind data logging for an example logging wind data of blowing from multiple directions at the same time can be achieved by placing sensors on different area's of the yard or MET Station location though it does however require additional hardware that is tied in to a multichannel data logger. and by the Documentation that Dave posted., I see that hasn't changed much being that, " additional hardware is needed that is tied in to a multichannel data logger." for a more in depth Wind Observation and research.
Which I can imagine would be a headache to install and wire up. just so I could log wind data from one or more locations in the yard.
though for now I plan to stick with a Standard weather Station of a Davis VP2 model 6163, leaf & soil moisture station
and maybe a few extras. after all I am a Moderate Weather Buff who enjoyed watching the weather happen outside my window and see it being recorded to the computer's hard drive.
Thanks Guys for your input on this Subject!.
