The new version of Fitzweather is up and running! I'd really like to thank Daculaweather for helping me out along the way! Couldn't have gotten it done without his help! Very Happy

Any comments, criticisms, or questions are greatly appreciated no matter how harsh!!!! Cool

Nice to see your site back up, Joe!  Cool

I did notice in FireFox (version 11.0), one of the green colored cells in the Daily Almanac table that is currently
populated with the text "Rain, T-Storm" is overlapping a small portion of the cell in an adjacent table.
The cell that is being obscured contains the text "Fitzweather's Generated Precipitation Forecast for Saturday March 24th, 2012"
and the tops of the letters Fitz are cut off.  Looks like you'll need to do some minor tweaking to correct this.
The alignment is OK in IE 9.

Couple of suggestions:
1) Get rid of the 'starry' background. Very distracting...to me anyway. I'd go with a solid color background like white.
2) Center your content box. In both IE9 and FF11 it's aligning to the left of the page. On a wide screen monitor it's very unbalanced. Centering it would make it look much better.

Keep up the good work.

Here's a good site for testing your code against various web browsers without having to have them installed.

Change the resolution of your monitor so that the resolution is wider than your content box. For example, your content box (layer2) appears to be 890 px wide. Use a screen resolution on your monitor of something like 1024 px or greater. You'll then be able to see that all your content is aligning to the left of the screen and the 'empty space' is all to the right of your content.

I see exactly the same thing on Safari 5.1 on my Mac.

When I load the page, it first turns the whole wind a bright purple-pink, then applies the stars, and finally the information. I can't read the dark blue text on the black background in the upper-left corner. Highlighting it, I see that it says home, but I'd never read it otherwise.

Other than that, centering would help. It is a lot better that the way too colorful previous version!

Not for me on Safari.

I tried looking at the source, but I've never used layers. I'm just a basic html coder, so what you've got is beyond me to make suggestions.

Other than what everyone has said like the fitting of one of the tables, the color of the home tab,and the centering issue (This one has me confused), is there anything else that should be fixed???

Looks good, agreed with the starry background being distracted, this can be fixed by centering your graphics (which it sounds like you are in the process of doing so) or changing it completely. Otherwise good stuff man!

Try wrapping your content in a div and applying a center style to the div.
