So I got home from a bike ride the other day and went to my computer and noticed a Black screen saying "hard drive failure imminent" basically my computer crashed. Cheaked the room temperature on the VP2 and confirmed heat did it in.

Anyway, I have my Weather Link recording 5 minutes which will give about 8 days recording or less for me with the leaf/soil and neighboring Vue configured as a temp/humid station. I would like to change the interval to record longer as I doubt I'll have a new computer anytime soon. Is there a way to do this through the console?

IIRC Changing the interval also clears the buffer so it would be a loss to you...  but I could be wrong

This is correct. One could use any terminal program to connect, and issue the "SETPER x" command (replacing x with the desired interval). The caveat is that this command will clear the logger memory.

Do you have another computer you can use to save the data to? That would be the best option before changing the interval.

Thanx guys. I don't really care about stored data now but what I can accumulate untill I get another computer. There other computers in the house but I don't think their owners will be in for it. Especially since it would be for temporary use. I'll just have to deal with it. Hopefully on the VP3 will have be able to. My WMR200 will have to fill in what the VP2 misses.
