I have had the Monitor II for years and have the data logger attached to it so I can upload my info to my webpage.  I am going to be purchasing the Vantage Vue and wondering if the same data logger can be used or if I need to buy the new Weatherlink?  I currently use VWS to display all my data on the computer.

Thanks!

Yes, you will need a new data logger, but as long as VWS is up to date with the most recent version, you wouldn't have to buy weatherlink.

2 people on this forum have made their own versions of loggers and they sell them. One is SLOweather and the other is belfryboy. Both of these work well, but there differences between the loggers. SLO's does not have memory, belfryboy's does. Search in this board and you will find the info on each.   EDIT 'DSI-01' sticky and 'Clone Data logger works with WeatherLink'

Think I have decided to go with the Davis 6152 Wireless Vantage Pro2 Weather Station and 6510SER Davis WeatherLink Computer Interface since I am currently running VWS on a Windows 7 laptop and using the serial to usb convertor.  Found good pricing at Scientific Sales.  Thanks all for your input!
