There is an interesting station on eBay that I have been watching for a few days. My Davis VP2 is only a month old, so it would be ridiculous for me to get this, but still... Think

Apparently this is a system that is part of the WeatherBug network. It has a Young anemometer (Wind Monitor JR), rain gauge a nice looking console, etc. It looks like quality gear from what I can see. From the dates on the manuals in the photo it is 2001 vintage.

The rain gauge looks exactly like my old Dallas Semiconductor one.

For the price (so far where the bids are at) it looks like a good deal.

There doesn't seem to be a lot of info about the connections to the console vs. the "Master Control". There is a lightning sensor described on the Earthnetworks web site http://earthnetworks.com/Products/WeatherStation.aspx This is not included in the eBay listing.

The eBay item is # 110834006319. http://www.ebay.com/itm/110834006319
