Question time again folks – I am using Murray’s Detail/Summary script on the modified Alt-Dashboard6.php and for whatever reason the data will not (for the want of another word) stay on the webpage. What normally happens is that the days current data is shown but at the end of the day the current days data is not displayed.http://www.carrowhawny.com/wx/wxreports/wxtempdetail.php

I am guessing this is some sort of permissions error or its something to do with the NOAA files not retaining the right data.  The only way to get this data back is to import the data on a regular basis and then it doesn’t stay there.

If anyone could show me the error of my ways I would be more then grateful

Check so that your updated NOAA file is uploaded to your server, this should be done after midnight every day.

If it's not, then it could be some kond of a ftp problem.

I honestly don't know what this is as at times the data is displayed and shown properly so that to my mind shows that the FTP process is okay. If I force an update through the NOAA Style Reports the data is shown properly for a short while then it losses the data again.  Think I will have to start again with it - it is doing my head in to be honest.

There are several files missing on your server.

I think you need to upload your climatedataout.html and dailynoaareport.htm files again, for all months.

That was the problem the files were being updated but I think not being uploaded from my computer to the website - I run WD on Windows7 installation inside VMWare on and Mac.  I recently transferred the setup from one Mac to another and whilst the switch was enabled to upload the NOAA daily report I don't think I had physically enabled this and once it was switch off and then back on again the data seems to have stuck!

Many thanks for your help - without the likes of this place I think I would be struggling big time Shocked

Your welcome  Dancing

One more thing you have to look in to is that your data from 29th of February is missing, could be related to the issue with leap year problem.
