VP Live and Wunderground Update

Curious if anyone uses VP live to update Wunderground?  Advantages?  Disadvantages?

One advantage I can see is it takes load off of WeatherLink however large or small that may be.  Disadvantage is updating missing data to WU if system goes offline.  Don't see how to do this with VP Live.  I can upload observations for a specific time period with WeatherLink to upload missing data.

I don't know dink about Mac's. But, it sounds like you want to run WL and VPlive at the same time.  I don't see how that reduces the load on the computer.

On a PC you can't run two programs off of one com port with out using VVP. So you actually wind up runnning VVP, a com driver,WL, and then VPlive.

Sorry...should have included that I am using VVP with VPLive and WL.   Saw the Wunderground option and thought about using it.   Just don't see provision to go back and update missing data as WL provides.

Again, just curious if other are using that option in VPLive.

I'm new and have been using VpLive and WL now for about 3 weeks.  No problems.  I'm using VirtualVP as the 'middle man' between my Vantage Pro2 console and VpLive and WL.  Note:  When my Windows 7  PC rebooted (unexpectedly)  during the night this earlier week, Wunderground did not receive info for several hours.  I'm considering buying a UPS and the StartWatch app to prevent outages in the future.
