I hear a lot about this and have mixed emotions about it.

Here's Wikipedia's story:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stop_Online_Piracy_Act#Opposition

I know a lot of people here use godaddy.  Here's their statement to a congressional committee on the subject:

http://www.thedomains.com/2011/11/15/here-is-godaddys-statement-in-support-of-the-stop-online-privacy-act-house-hearing-tomorrow/

Opponents of the bill include Google, Yahoo!, Facebook, Twitter, AOL, LinkedIn, eBay, Mozilla Corporation, to name a few.

I'm not trying to start a feud or anything.  But we should all be educated about it.
It's interesting reading and could have far-reaching effects on all of us that use the internet.

Sitepoint.com (web developers) has a detailed way to show your loathing to GoDaddy by transferring your domains to another registrar.

I really think their zeal to support this flawed law is not in their or our interests.  One complaint of copyright violation can take down your site(s) without prior notification or 'due-process'.

First they support it in front of Congress, then when sites like Wikipedia state they will be leaving them they change their position.
Wow, SlowDaddy you're a real class act.  Rolling Eyes

I agree, Ken.  And it appears that Reddit community does as well. http://www.theatlanticwire.com/technology/2011/12/reasons-not-upset-reddit/46601/
