I've been using Jim's script for quite some time. It was working, and I've made no changes, but I just noticed it's no longer functioning. Using the latest version and getting this error:

unable to open file (http://climate.cod.edu/data/raob/KCHS.txt)

Any ideas/help would be appreciated.

Thanks
Tom

Well I got this back from the cod.edu site:

Code:
404 - File Not Found

Before you email us about a broken link, please use our website (weather.cod.edu) to navigate
to the area of the website in which the link should exist. Deep linking directly to a particular
image or file is always dangerous as we do not guaruntee that links will never change.

For an edu site, they can't spell check!! "Guaruntee" instead of the correct spelling "guarantee"!!! d'oh! Brick wall Rolling Eyes

I gave up on their satellite images when they switched formats and went with the ADDS service from NOAA and haven't looked back until now, they really hid all the good data that was easy to get to at first.

Tom,
The link has been changed. Use this instead.

http://climate.cod.edu/data/raob/current/

I also have the updated script on my site if you want to grab it.

Everyone,
College of Dupage has gone and finally updated their Upper Air Soundings data page. I have modified the scripts to now (again) work with their changes.. You can download it from my site:

Weird... Don't know how.. I had to make some major mods to grab the data... THey may still have kept the older datasets on their server. I am now pulling it from their flanis directory...
Let me know if you have any issues....
