Nice find. Pretty neat phenomenon. Never heard of it or seen it before. Kind of like lightning bugs (fireflies) of the sea. After seeing your great pic I had to Google dinoflagellates to learn what it is and saw many other cool shots as well.

    Very cool picture! This must be the same phenomenon that causes the water in the wake of a ship give off a soft glow.  My Uncle said he saw it many times during WWII when out on the dark ocean in black out conditions.
