check the ftplogfull.txt file
to see info about what files are uploaded, etc
it is easer to set to create and upload the testtags now
via the special file conversion in the customise internet and file creation setup in WD (file #29)
you can set the local (template file , containing the custom tags) and remote (file with custom tags converted) file names in that setup right there now

Brian, thanks for the response. I finally got it working last night about 30 mins after I posted. Just haven't got around to updating. It was 3:30 in the morning and had to be up at 8am for a appt so I went to bed. It is working and it was connecting but it was uploading to cyber space somewhere. I had the directory set to / and I changed it to /public_html/ and it works.

Now the next question I have is the last time I was running this it uploaded a lot of files I really didn't need. So what needs and doesn't need to be set just so I am uploading just the files to update the dashboard and the necessary files for records, history etc. that it would need to access. Don't need images or a bunch of files I don't use or need.

Also, before the template only worked with WD, as I see now it works with WD, VWS WL, Cumulus etc. Is there a way to have a fall over if one program goes down or is not updating the script will look for a alternative after a set time that it doesn't see a update?

-Thanks

if you are using the customise internet and file creation setup in WD
then you are in control over when files are created and uploaded
there is a new FAQ on how to use that in the WD forum

The files needed for full display in the templates for Weather-Display are shown in the WD configuration page .. removing them is not 'harmful', but may reduce what the V3 template configured for WD can display on your website.

Yes, the V3 template sets do support multiple weather software packages, but only one package at a time.  You could accomplish the 'failover' with some custom scripting to swap-out the Settings-weather.php with the pre-configured Settings-weather.php for another package.  Be aware that some pages are specific to a particular weather software (the wxtrends.php page, for example, works only with WD and Meteohub, not with WL/VWS/Cumulus) so it could be confusing for folks visiting your website if an auto-switch took place and some of your pages were rendered inoperative.  Also, for each software, the associated [WXNAME]tags.php file has to be routinely uploaded, and the corresponding realtime file for the AJAX script to work.
And... all of the above applies only to the V3 templates, not to the (now discontinued) V2 WD/AJAX/PHP templates.

Best regards,
Ken

Yes that is exactly what I was referring to. I just want the files that update the dash board and the record and history files. Don't need the images or other files uploaded taking up space to sort through I never use. Basically I want to make sure I keep everything clean and have it set up right this time and know exactly what everything is that is being uploaded and how and where it came from.

The failover question would just be used as a temp or back up should you not notice one of your software packages have gone down. I have some ideas about.

I have been looking for hours but I can't find the file to edit to get the Air Quality. It shows the icon but says "No Data Available".

Also I have gone through all my settings for the past coupe hours and I think I am missing some of them but others I have on the server but they are not displaying. The Moon under "Sun/Moon" image doesn't show. It's looking in a Moon folder but I don't have those and not sure where to get those from. My chandler burning images are not showing at the are on the server too as well as my UV images. Those are both on there but not showing. Last thing do you have to install the cloud base image or is that included. I have a placeholder for it. Is that all it is and needs to be set up extra?

-Thanks

Better make sure the file permissions to images are set high enough, like 7,7,7.

I don't think CMOD permissions are the cause of this otherwise no images would be displaying from within that folder. Any other suggestions?

I have the Chandler images sorted. The dashboard is looking for FireXX.gif and on the server that are named CBI-FireXX.gif so they needed to be renamed.

Only other issues I am having is with the moon images not showing. It is looking for the images in /ajax-images/moon/w/NH-moon13.gif when the moon images are just in /ajax-images/ and they do not have NH in front of them. Where in the script contains this so I can make the changes for it to look in the correct folder and for the correct image files.

Also where do I set the data for the Air Quality?

-Thanks

Are you using the Relay Weather air quality script? I believe you need that.

Is that the script that is needed for the dashboard? Does it not already come with the files? Just asking cause I don't know and what I am trying to find out.

The script was written by someone else so it was not included.  It is an option that can be used if desired.  You can turn that section off if you wish in the config file.

What's strange is there is something there that is producing the image and the text "No Data Available". How is that produced otherwise?

It should just have an icon stating that no data found.  It does that because the code needed to get the AQI is not installed (it will also do that if the AQI reading are unavailable for download every once in awhile).  You will need to add in the other code if you want it to display AQI.  You can turn it off in the config if you don't want to add the code.

I would but the site isn't launched yet and is still on the test server. So I am not ready to send traffic to it yet. I understand I can turn it on and off that is not the issue as I am wanting to use it. The issue is which script do I use for the data for this? Is it the one from Relay weather? I looked at that one and it looks different then the one on the dashboard. So I just need to know which script to use.

Never mind I was able to find the script. For anyone else looking for this script since it seems to be a impossible question to answer and there is nothing in the docs that explains this. Use the code below and name the file get-aqi-rss.php

You need to get the RSS feed to supply the data which you change on line 3 where it says $urlRealtime. You can find that feed from the link below, just select your state then your city.

http://feeds.enviroflash.info/

Code:
<?php
//Current Air Quality URL
$urlRealtime "http://feeds.enviroflash.info/rss/realtime/32.xml";  //Dallas Forth Worth
// Images Directory
$imagesDir "./ajax-images";

Actually, if you read the instructions, on page 6 it clearly states where to find and download the files needed to setup AQI.  Thats why I took the time to write the instructions!

Is it the one from Relay weather? I looked at that one and it looks different then the one on the dashboard.

Which is why I asked that just for confirmation to make sure it was the correct one so I didn't waste time one it.

What about the moon images? It is looking for it in /ajax-images/moon/w/ but the moon images are different then the ones I have and they are in the /ajax-images/ root. They are looking for NH-moon.gif I edited this line.

Code:
'<img src="'.$imagesDir .'moon/w/' . $moonHemisphere .'-moon'. str_pad(getMoonPic(), 2, "0", STR_PAD_LEFT) .'.gif"

and changed it to this and now the images show but they background isn't transparent.

Code:
'<img src="'.$imagesDir .'moon'. str_pad(getMoonPic(), 2, "0", STR_PAD_LEFT) .'.gif"

There were no moon images in the package just the ones from the template that are in /ajax-images/ dir.

Thank you now that is working like a champ. One other small issue I can't seem to sort out is the UV Summary/Forecast which at night it shows the numbers for the next 3 days like it should, but isn't it suppose to show icons there too? There icons are there they show during the day, just not at night for the UV Summary/Forecast. Any ideas where I should look?

-Thanks

I've tracked down the problem. The script is looking for I.E. UV3.gif but the images are uv03.gif. I have gone into the code and changed it to look for uv instead of UV and still the images don't show as it isn't looking for UV3.gif instead uv03.gif. Changing the code from UV or uv doesn't help anything. Has this been address already and I just overlooked it? FYI, I am only using 3 as a example.

Changing the code from UV or uv doesn't help anything. Has this been address already and I just overlooked it? FYI, I am only using 3 as a example.

Are you using version 6.51?  I thought I had all that worked out in that version.  You will likey have to edit the ajaxWDwx-settings.js  Look for:

Code:
uvImg.src     = imgDir+"UV{INDEX}.gif";
uvImg.width   = 34;
uvImg.height  = 65;
//uvImg.hspace  = 0;
//uvImg.vspace  = 0;
//uvImg.border  = 0;
//uvImg.style   = "";
//uvImg.align   = "";
uvImg.useTag  = "ajaxuvimg";

change the UV right before the [INDEX} to uv.
