I came upon this site today when trying to determine what camera I should use to allow weather shots to be seen from the outside of my house. I see some members have suggested a the Panasonic BL-C140. I have thus have a few questions. The C140 fits in my budget, but if other suggestions let me know. Note I am in Chicago where it is not unusual to have 10-20 below with wind chill in January.
- What enclosure would you recommend ? Note the camera will be under an eave, but will be difficult to get to in winter so I would rather pay a few extra dollars for a camera and cover that I know will give a few good years of weather-shots.
- What software would you recommend ? (Weather Display Webcamcapture ?)
- What weather instruments if any would you recommend and where would I purchase ?
- Any security issues I should be aware of when opening this camera to the public ?
Thanks
