Is this the year New England gets hit by a hurricane?   We had bob 20 years ago and alot of near misses since then.  The population along the water has doubled since 1991.  Bob was only a cat 2,  makes me nervous if a cat 3 or 4 comes up here.

Only time will tell if this is the year but it is probably a good bet that not too many more years will go by before it happens.   I know that on 21 September it will be 73-years since the 1938 storm in New England that killed 600 people.  I have seen a tv show on that storm and it is one of my favorite weather shows because some of it focuses on how the NWS made it's forecasts back then.  Hope it will be on again some time soon.

I'm going to say yes, you will. Just don't be on Long Island when it hits.
