Do any Foscam owners here have problems with the camera's images flickering? It alternately moves from dark to bright continually. My camera is new and this problem just started lately.

Hi weathergirl, I cannot directly help you,  but if no-one else can, try this site, and post in their general discussion board. I used it a couple of years back and they were quite helpful

hope this helps

Oh, does your cam have the IR cut filter?  If it does it may be something to do with that clicking in and out.

Sorry....lots going on here. The support forum for foscam is http://foscam.us/tools-support.html . As for flicker...I don't get it in mine. Where are you seeing this flicker ? On your local pc ? Other pc/laptops ? Are you on DSL or Cable ? What is your bandwidth ? Lots to consider that could be causing this. Also distance of the camera since it is wireless from your router could be causing drop outs....

I have the camera with the IR cut filter. I see the image flicker on my pc and in Image Salsa.  I'm on cable and have very good bandwidth, and the camera is 10 feet away from the router.

By flicker do you mean not smooth streaming like a video but kind of stop action ? Or are you getting black frames ?

The image switches from darker to lighter, that's what I mean by flicker, sorry if there was some confusion.

So a web search of the problem took me to a youtube video of how the problem was fixed by
http://www.avacomtech.com/
. The fix involves optimizing the CMOS sensor parameters.
