I've got an unregistered version of VWS; just to try out before I commit to buy, but it constantly tells me that it cannot communicate with the sensors.
The sensors are reporting information to the Heavy Weather program as I'm seeing the display being updated however, the VMS still doesn't update.
"The outdoor sensors are not responding...
do you which to proceed with these sensors (yes) or continue waiting (no) ?
All the Heavy Weather files are where they should be with the only exception being that I've noticed that the "currdat.lst" file was not there in C:\Heavyweather were it normally was.
I did have it up and running yesterday when I first downloaded the VMS.
I'm running on Windows 7.

Have you tried running VWS with Heavy Weather closed and not running?  Perhaps only one program at a time can access the sensors/ports.

Set VWS to use Heavy Weather.

Start Heavy Weather before you start VWS

That should work.
