I want to experiment, but I need some advice. I want to run a 5 volt fan off of a Davis solar panel from a wireless ISS. Anybody with any thoughts? I'm thinking of about 150 or so mA on the fan.    Thanks     Jack

I wanted plenty of power to my 24/7 FARS fan...

I used a 12-volt computer case fan with a 5-watt solar panel and battery backup. I didn't want a get-by rig, it had to work for me even on a dreary, cloudy day. I am well pleased with the setup.

Here's a good 5-watt panel, at a great price:

Not enough information given, but my thought is that it won't work.

Thanks Gulfcoast and dalecoy....I'm going to bail on this idea and do something like what Brian N8VHF posted in 'Other Weather Station Hardware'. Working on it now using a Davis fan and the single solar panel from the wireless ISS. I'll get some pictures in a few days when the panel shows up and I test it out.     THANKS again       Jack

I dont thinks that work properly, because Iss transmitter solar panel just give us 3 volt and 200 miliAmp,
that mean fan just run half of operation speed,

Formula for Voltages is = V=I*R, Were, V = Volt, I = Ampere (current) R = Resistance Of Load
