Ok, so we have been talking about how hot it has been lately. What is THE hottest temperature that has hit your local town?

94 degrees on May 31. Much of our area was in the upper 90s that day.

I'm not sure that "hottest" is an entirely accurate word for it, but 22C is the maximum temperature I have recorded so far this year, on June 6th.

23.6C on 2nd June
Last year's maximum of 26.3C was in May - so we don't expect many days above 25C
30C is very unusual.

79F (26C) on Saturday June 4, if you (like KeithBC says) consider that "hot" (which it sorta is for June around here)

Should we update this thread every day, as the days will tend to get predictably warmer almost daily for the next couple of months?  (At least when the sun comes out, around here.)

In my back yard we have hit 101.

Other places in South Texas along the Rio Grande have been near 110.

Yeah, I think it would be kind of cool to update our highest temperature this year.

I'll start:

New highest temperature is 94F set on June 9th. It was a hot day, with the average dew point being 66F!

97.1 (36.16 celsius) on May 22 for this year; however on a rolling 12 months hight temp was 101.8 (38.77 celsius) the 15th of June.  That's also the highest temp seen in my almost 2 years of having a real weather station.

High temp of the day doesn't bother me as much as high temps over night. It usually cools to the mid 60's at night in my area of NE PA but when it stays above 74 over night I find it rather uncomfortable sleeping. I don't care to run the AC to sleep -prefer window fan and a cool evening breeze on on the deck at night.
So far 92.5 was the daytime high here.

I agree, I like lows to fall to around 60 for some cool breeze, and 74 IS uncomfortable

30 years in the SW Deserts and I'm still that way myself. Nice upper 50s - low 60s at nite with that cool breeze flowing thru the windows.

Still 99.5 for the high on June 1st. Low 100s forecast during the week.
