I wonder if the station wh1081 of fine offset when connected to the PC is powered by the USB voltage, since I still have memory crashes based on some occasions. d'oh!

That would be the first time I heard of that if it is powered by the USB connection. One thing you could try is remove any batteries and mains power sources to the console display and see if it still runs with the USB connection only.

Yes, it is. You should be able to hear the relay click when you connect/disconnect the USB.

You learn something new everyday! Now if I can just remember it.

edit: pretty neat now that I think about it. That means if your computer is on a UPS and your station is plugged into the P.C. via USB then your station is on UPS as well.
