Do you think marine radar, like a Garmin unit, could be used for weather radar? They use 9410 MHz, I think that's X band.

   I have serious doubts that it could be used for such a purpose. It probably would not have much range, or resolution to say the least.  I have been wrong before and who knows what a smart and handy person can do with a little tinkering, and probably a lot of money!  Oh and welcome to the forum!

It is illegal to operate marine radar equipment on anything that is on land that is type accepted for marine use.
