I have just installed a second weather cam a my http://www.clevedonweather.co.uk web site. The camera is Panasonic BL C140 IP wired camera.
The camera is mounted outside on the garage facing east and should provide great sunrise scenes, moonrises and possible rainbows in the evenings.
My first impression of the camera are good, provided a shape daytime image. At night there is little lighting so there is not much to see.
The camera is connection to my network using pair of Netgear Powerline 85 which transmit the ethernet over the mains wiring.

The camera can be viewed at the following link East Facing Camera

This weathercam is in addition to original south facing camera.

Which can be viewed at South Facing Camera

Too bad about the Netgear problem. Awesome idea. I am working on putting my webcam out on the garage but I would need to extend my wireless network out farther. Power line adapter would solve that and provide power to the camera with a direct connect to the network.

The camera was down for about 24 hours due to a failure in one of the Netgear Powerline unit. As a temporary measure I have borrowed some old Solwise units a friend had spare. This should keep it up and running until the Netgear replacements arrive.

I back up and running with my Netgear XETB1001=100UKS 85Mbps Powerline adapters thanks to ebuyer.com fast replacement.
