I installed my new Davis weather station this past June and have been extremely happy with it.
I used to run a very reliable but basic Radio Shack (AccuWeather) WX-200 system and simply outgrew it.

When I first opened the box I was like, woah, this thing is huge!
I got over that quickly and up it went. It doesn't look as big, 30 feet up, does it.?

I had been using the Davis WeatherLink software but just this week installed my Ambient VWS software. I was noticing some occasional gaps with the WeatherLink site not uploading data to CWOP and Wunderground due to the software hanging.

The roof deck on the back of the house is white asphalt shingles, so there's not so much of an impact with solar heat gain. The front faces practically due north.
