How do you think we create those Alberta clippers......  They come from snow plants, we use our excess natural gas to boil lots of water, then catapult it up in the air..... True story.

That is really neat!!!  I will have to try it out and see if I can ever get that result.  If it ever gets cold enough.
When I saw the subject of this thread I thought it was going to be about this experiment I saw once about 10 years ago on PBS by a physics teacher who froze water by boiling it.  This is the same experiment but not the same teacher.

The weatherman from KARE 11 in Minneapolis does that.
He also hammers a nail with a frozen banana

Not so sure what the big deal is about this . Cold air, hot water it is going to freeze. You can see it better when tossing hot coffee inti 40 below air and find the ice shards easier in the sow. They just about are all round in shape.

Now I have that song stuck in my head and will probably go throughout today humming St. Alphonzo's Pancake Breakfast. Could be worse though, great song!

Ok, I just did it, and can say it works almost as well in -10 as it appears to have in -24.
