Google Redirect Virus

My weather computer, (Dell Inspiron 530, Vista Home SP2) has caught it.  I have tried the normal things such as MS Essentials and Malwarebytes but nothing has found or corrected it.  A Google search brings up several pages that claim they have the cure, normally for a price.  I am reluctant to try unknown fixes in fear of installing something worse.
If any members have been infected and successfully corrected it I would appreciate your advice.

I had a malware problem on one of my computers last week, (personal internet security 2011) and tried all of the malware removal tools, but to no avail. I then I restarted the computer at an earlier date, IE before the virus was encountered, that cured the problem for me.
