ISS Input Voltage

What is official input voltage to supply to the VP2 ISS?  SIM solar panel seems to put out 3V or less in full sun, but I believe I saw where the A/C adapter for the console is 5V.  Does the ISS pull from the battery or super capacitor even when the solar panel is lit up to get the total input up to 5V or is the A/C adapter's 5V knocked down to 3V on the board?

#6625 AC adapter output is 5Vdc @ 0.3A
CR123A battery is 3Vdc
Solar panel output is 2.1-2.3Vdc

Internal circuitry "doubles" the solar cell voltage to about 5Vdc, roughly matching the AC adapter.

The CR123A battery takes over when super-cap recharging voltage (from solar panel) falls too low...and no AC adapter is connected. Note: maximum super-cap voltage is 2.5V or 2.7V depending upon manufacturer.

Thanks.  Standard 5V output from charge controller should work fine.
