Ordering Davis soon
« on: February 28, 2018, 05:50:19 PM »
I will be ordering a 6163 soon, vp2 plus with fan. I will be getting the anemometer transmitter kit so I am able to separate the two, different mounting locations. I am also considering ordering the soil temp/moisture station with it, shows it comes with 4 moisture sensors and 4 temp probes. I guess my question is......will there be any issues having that many stations reporting? I wouldn't think so, but have to ask. I am thinking these would be great year round, especially during winter, knowing how deep fost is. That interests me.

My memory may be wrong, but I vaguely recall those 'other' stations will have XXº precision, NOT XX.Xº precision. Need Envoy unit for XX.Xº precision I think.

That's for supplementary temperature accuracy, but it's an Envoy8X (now officially discontinued but probably still available) needed for 0.1deg precision.

Sorry, but I don't usually have time to help with individual issues by email unless you are a Prodata customer. Please post your issue in the relevant forum section here & I will comment there if I have anything useful to add.

Yep, that's why I bought a spare.
