OK, now what about what is entered in your Davis console :?:
And, what does VWSs calibration window show /SETTINGS/CALIBRATION :?:

The only thing that looks strange is under Air Calc.....the baro is in both ''Hg and mb and the Corrected Temp which seems very high.

But Lee,
If you look at http://weather.gladstonefamily.net/site/D0711, you will see the location pin is about 500 feet down the hill from the 3393 elevation. Now maybe the pin location is wrong or the lat & long is wrong or the elev is wrong OR maybe everything is correct and all the neighbors are wrong BUT the pin on the topo is NOT at 3393, unless, of course, the contour lines are wrong!

I agree, after looking at the topo.  I would trust that more.  According to that, about 3340' vice 3393'.  I'm just curious why the Air calc is in 2 diff measurands, ''Hg and mb.  I know there was a change and I'm on p50 vice p53 that he's on, but it should be using the same measurement.

You'llhave to wait for the qc to stabilize.  I see when you made the change.  I doubt the topo is wrong, but the clickable db on the map seems to be off significantly.  If you  click at the 3400' EL marker, it says 3500' something.

!!  i emailed cwop people to see what else i could do to get my pres correct..... here is the email i got in responce.. maybe this was my problem all along?.. but my console still reads high pressure...

Josh,

I've made the changes to your meta data in the CWOP database and you can check here this evening,

http://www.wxqa.com/search.htm

The changes will flow to MADIS and to MesoWest within the next week.  We've determined that there is a reference problem in some USGS topo maps on the web and that was the problem you ran into.  Ideally, the USGS maps should match Google Earth very closely, but in this case they did not.

Russ

kinda odd huh?

lol hope this atleast helps my problem

George was right.

When in doubt, always go w/ the topo.  They've been around longer.

I'm still curious why your Corrected press is 1037.29mb, but your local is 27.06''.

I just updated and am testing p56 and the measurands are the same...both in ''.

How do you know your SLP is OK if your console does not work?
