Based on the specs, I’m not sure if it’s an upgrade, but Hongyuv has a radar detected precip sensor. I believe Stefan has said they could make it work for the VP2. I just received my ultrasonic anemometer from them yesterday although it’ll take me a little while to get it up and installed.

I would personally like to find a compatible 8” weighing all-ptype gauge.

Yeah I read your thread with great interest - on SI's website, someone had said the other model that was available (forgot who makes it) has a problem with showing 100MPH winds after a rain event, though it works fine in dry weather. Let me know how yours goes please!
